Les Journées du Matrimoine reviennent pour leur troisième édition à Bruxelles !
Les Journées du Matrimoine, organisées par l’asbl L’Ilot – Sortir du sans abrisme et la plateforme L’architecture qui dégenre, auront lieu à Bruxelles les 24, 25 et 26 septembre prochains.
Si les Journées du Patrimoine existent depuis des décennies, les Journées du Matrimoine manquaient à l’appel en Belgique. Initiées à Paris il y a 6 ans, les Journées du Matrimoine se diffusent dorénavant à Bruxelles depuis 2019.
Ces journées mettent en lumière d’une part l’héritage matrimonial bruxellois historique - architectural, sculptural, urbanistique, social: béguinages, familistère, etc. D’autre part, les Journées sont aussi l’occasion de découvrir le matrimoine actuel – artistique, politique et féministe. Au-delà de la découverte du matrimoine bruxellois parfois, voire souvent, éclipsé, la question fondamentale de l’accès à la propriété pour les femmes et aux professions liées est transversalement soulevée lors d’ateliers menés par des expertes et tout au long des visites conduites par des professionnelles de terrain.
Au programme de cette édition : des visites guidées, des ateliers, projections, sessions d’écoute et plein d’autres surprises !

NL | De Matrimoniumdagen zijn terug voor hun derde editie in Brussel !
Op initiatief van de vzw ‘t Eilandje en het platform L'architecture qui dégenre vindt deze tweede editie plaats op 24, 25 en 26 september 2021.
Patrimoniumdagen bestaan al tientallen jaren: de Open Monumentendag vindt immers jaarlijks plaats in september. Matrimoniumdagen waren er tot nog toe in België niet, maar sinds 2019 krijgt het initiatief ook in Brussel weerklank.
Tijdens de Matrimoniumdagen wordt enerzijds het historische, architecturale, beeldhouwkundige, stedenbouwkundige, sociale Brusselse matrimonium in de schijnwerpers geplaatst: begijnhoven, de Familistère enz. Anderzijds zijn de Matrimoniumdagen ook hét moment om het huidige artistieke, politieke en feministische matrimonium te ontdekken. Naast een ontdekkingstocht door het Brusselse matrimonium – dat soms en zelfs vaak overschaduwd wordt – komt ook de fundamentele kwestie van eigendomsrecht voor vrouwen en de daarmee verbonden beroepen aan bod, tijdens workshops met expertes en rondleidingen door vrouwen die in de praktijk staan.
Op het programma voor deze editie: rondleidingen, workshops, vertoningen, luistersessies en nog tal van andere verrassingen !

EN | The Matrimony Days are back for their third edition in Brussels!
At the initiative of the non-profit organisation L'Ilot - Sortir du sans-abrisme and the platform L'architecture qui dégenre, this third edition will be held on 24, 25 and 26 September 2021.
The Heritage Days have been in place for decades with a male-gendered name in French, the Journées du Patrimoine, yet the women-centered Journées du Matrimoine (Matrimony Days) were missing in Belgium. They came to be in Paris six years ago and were first held in Brussels in 2019.
These Days showcase on the one hand the historical heritage of the women of Brussels–architecture, sculpture, urbanism, social: béguinages, familistères, etc. On the other hand, the Days are also a chance to discover women’s current–artistic, political, and feminist–heritage. Beyond discovering the heritage of the women of Brussels, sometimes–or often–muffled, the fundamental question of women’s access to property ownership and related professions is a horizontal theme raised during the expert-led workshops and throughout the guided tours led by field professionals.
This year's programme includes guided tours, workshops, screenings, listening sessions and many other surprises!
